How to make personalized construction hats for easy DIY construction birthday party favors

Here’s all you do to create your own personalized construction party hats:

Step 1. Purchase my editable construction stickers printable template

Purchase my editable construction stickers PDF printable template. Etsy will automatically email you a link to instantly download your PDF templates from Etsy.com after payment.

Step 2. Type to customize names in my construction vehicles printable template

You’ll customize your using Adobe Reader, a free download from Adobe.com. Just type your desired text into the PDF fields and voila! The circles will instantly update with your custom names and ages.

Step 3. Print your personalized construction hat stickers

Important tip: Make sure when you print that the Page Scaling on your printer dialog is set to “none” otherwise the circles will print smaller than 2 inches. I provide very detailed instructions about this when you purchase my printable template.

For sticker paper: I recommend Avery 22807 2 inch sticker paper.

For child construction hats: We used these super cute yellow child-size construction hats that were totally adorable.

For cardstock paper: I recommend this white card stock paper.

For tattoo paper: I recommend Silhouette Temporary Tattoo Paper – just print on your ink jet printer and cut out with scissors, no need for a Silhouette machine. Remember to reverse the letter for temporary tattoos. Go to “File…Print” then click the Copies & Pages dropdown and choose Layout. Click the checkbox “Flip Horizontally.”

Step 4. Give personalized construction hats to party guests

All the party guests LOVED their construction hats! They wore them for the entire party! And after the party, Elise and Liam used their construction hats to dress up around the house.
