Add a touch of Irish charm to your St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes with my printable DIY road sign toppers. 🧁
Have you ever traveled to Ireland? It’s such a beautiful country with rich culture and history. I was lucky enough (no pun intended) to explore Ireland by car with my sisters, and in addition to the lush, intensely green countryside, scenic villages and towns, and friendly locals, what I really remember are the road signs. Irish road signs often include both the Irish and English languages. My favorite road signs were the ones on tall poles filled from top to bottom with signs pointing every which way to towns and lodging and tourist attractions like Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Galway, and more.
I designed this St. Patrick’s Day treat for Astrobrights® using their rainbow-assortment of bold, vibrant colored paper. Thanks so much to Astrobrights® for sponsoring this post!

Easy St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes with tiny Irish road signs cupcake toppers
Inspired by real Irish road signs, I designed these cute Irish road sign cupcake toppers to bring some authenticity into your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. My easy St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes are nice treats to bring to work, make for your family, or bake for your St. Patrick’s Day party. And maybe my colorful road signs will inspire you to visit the Emerald Isle someday. 🇮🇪
Yummy St. Patrick’s Day dessert – with green, of course!
You can choose to bake your own cupcakes or buy them from your local bakery or grocery store. I chose vanilla, but you could also dye the frosting green if you’d like. Either way, I recommend double-wrapping your cupcakes with verdant green cupcake liners to give your treat a festive, professional look. 🧁 ☘️

How to make DIY Irish road signs cupcakes for St. Patrick’s Day dessert
Step 1: Print and cut out my cupcake toppers free printable template
We’ll be using Re-Entry Red™, Fireball Fuschia™, Cosmic Orange™, Solar Yellow™, Martian Green™, Lunar Blue™, Celestial Blue™, and Gravity Grape™ colors of the Astrobrights cardstock paper. Print and cut out my free printable Irish road signs cupcake toppers. Cut two signs for each topper, one pointing left and one pointing right, for the front and back.
Step 2: Attach tiny Irish road signs to wooden coffee stir sticks
Tape the road signs to wooden coffee stir sticks. I used 1, 2, and 3 wooden coffee stir sticks depending on the sizes of the signs, just like real road signs in Ireland. Layer the signs together as you wish.
Step 4: Add my St. Patrick’s Day cupcake toppers to your cupcakes
Slip the cupcake toppers into cupcakes and put into the rainbow cake stand. Be sure to use green cupcake liners for the green Irish countryside.
