Here’s a new set of free printable ‘Four Gift Christmas’ gift tags — this time in blue. Just download, type to personalize, and print. This is our third year giving only four Christmas gifts each to Elise and Liam and it’s been super amazing for our family. Instead of feeling the pressure to give ALL THE THINGS to the kids, I instead focus on finding four very thoughtful gifts, which gives us more time to focus on the reason for the season.
The Four Gift Christmas rule for giving Christmas gifts
Have you heard yet about the Four Gift Christmas rule? In a nutshell, you give four thoughtful Christmas gifts within whatever budget is right for your family:
- Something You Want
- Something You Need
- Something To Wear (for our family, I changed this to Something To Make because, well, are you surprised?)
- Something To Read

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your tags! I came across them looking for want, need, wear, read tags to use for Christmas this year. I would like to do want, need, wear, read, make, do, share, feed tags as we are expounding just a little bit to get the kids used to it. My kids are 10 and 13 so jumping from a ton of gifts last year to only four this year has been hard on them, I want to surprise them with four more this first year. I just can't find "DO", "SHARE", and "FEED" tags. Do you still have the template?
