Make a DIY custom koozie drink holder to cool Dad’s bottles and cans. It’s an easy and useful DIY Father’s Day gift idea from the kids! I mean, look at this cute little drawing of daddy on his custom drink koozie…
Elise and I made this DIY beer cozy together using a bit of foam, white duct tape and markers and gave it to Shane with a 6-pack of his favorite beer. She drew our family of four using permanent markers. Cute, right? Shane thought so and he’s still using it almost a year later.
You can call it a DIY custom koozie or a coozie or a beer cozy or a can cooler or a drink cooler or whatever you want …Dad will be sure to call it his favorite Father’s Day gift.

Supplies for making a foam DIY custom koozie drink holder for Dad for Father’s Day:

- White duct tape
- Permanent markers (ultra thin) and permanent markers (chisel tip)

How to make a DIY custom koozie drink holder for Father’s Day:
Measure your white foam sheet and cut a 4″ tall x 10″ wide rectangle using an up-and-down motion with a sharp craft knife.
Let the kids draw onto the white foam sheet using permanent markers – Elise used both ultra thin markers and chisel tip markers.
Cut a piece of white duct tape in half. I used a rotary cutter but you can use a craft knife, clear ruler and self-healing mat.
Roll the white foam sheet into a circle and tape together on both sides using the white duct tape.
To make the bottom: trace the inside circle onto a scrap piece of white foam sheet.
Cut out the circle using good craft scissors.
See how it fits right into the beer coozie?
Cover the bottom of the beer coozie with overlapping strips of white duct tape.
I decided to cover the white with some green that I had. This is totally optional; I just thought it would add a little color to the beer cozy.
Trim the edges of the duct tape. And that’s it! Your DIY drink koozie is now ready for a cold beer for daddy.
